About BOS

BOS International
Borneo Orangutan Survival International is the umbrella organisation for BOS affiliates and supporting organisations worldwide. The BOS affiliates (National Member Organisations) are all supprting the projects carried out and managed by BOS Foundation in Indonesia. In respect to the need for financial support to run these projects, BOS International is supporting our National Member Organsiations with tools to conduct fundraising. We also support our members and partners, with news and updates from BOS Foundations projects in Indonesian Borneo, Kalimantan.

BOS International offers assistance to BOS members related to marketing, fundraising and campaign issues. We are furhtermore looking into new markets to raise the much needed funds. We have Member Organisations in Germany, Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, the US, Switzerland and the UK as well as partners in Japan and Australia.


BOS International is a member of WSPA.

BOS International structure
The Annual General Meeting elects and/or re-elects from its members the BOS International Board. Furthermore the AGM is responsible for approving the annual accounts as presented by the Board and shall appoint an auditor.The BOS International Board consists of no less than three and a maximum of seven members. A chairman is chosen by the Board from its members. The Board is responsible for the daily business of BOS International and an Executive Director is appointed by the Board. All Board members as well as the chairman receives no remuneration.

The BOS International Executive Director is responsible for carrying out the Board decisions and to hold office. The BOS International staff is picked by the E.D. and approved by the Board.
