We are delighted to welcome three new colleagues to the Save the Orangutan team! Meet Elisabeth Moltke, Valentina Bravo Jara and Linnie Löfgren, who all joined us in autumn 2024. Together, they bring valuable expertise to support our important mission to protect the critically endangered orangutans and conserve their rainforest habitat in Borneo.

Elisabeth Moltke – Communications Manager

Elisabeth joins us as our dynamic new Communications Manager, bringing fresh perspectives to convey the importance of protecting orangutans and their habitats. With her background in communications, passion for the sustainability agenda, and ability to connect with diverse audiences, Elisabeth plays a pivotal role in amplifying our mission and fostering meaningful connections. She is also closely involved in our Danish BioRap project.

“I am very excited to join the team at Save the Orangutan. It’s going to be an exciting year focused on new projects, communication strategy, and new collaborations within an incredibly important agenda,” says Elisabeth.

Elisabeth will be with us until December 2025, while Sedsel Brøndum Lange is on parental leave.

Valentina Bravo Jara – Donor relations & fundraising manager (Sweden & England/Wales)

Valentina brings her exceptional fundraising skills to our operations in Sweden and England/Wales to ensure the sustainability and future of our programs. With a strong background in the NGO and non-profit sector, she excels in donor relations, planning, and administration.

“The opportunity to combine my skills in international development with conservation efforts in Borneo’s ancient ecosystem inspired me”

Valentina will be responsible for member and donor relations in Sweden and England/Wales, leading fundraising initiatives and ensuring that our mission remains robust and impactful.

Linnie Löfgren – Student Assistant, Communications Team

Linnie joins the communications team as a student assistant, combining her academic focus on development work with her creative side. She will primarily support our efforts in Sweden and England/Wales, while providing creative and technical support to the rest of the communications team. Linnie’s enthusiasm is evident – especially when she works with Elisabeth to create engaging content from the adorable updates we receive from Borneo.

“What excites me most is the opportunity to contribute to real-world impact”, says Linnie. “Save the Orangutan doesn’t just focus on saving a species – it takes a holistic approach by addressing deforestation, wildlife, and community development. I love to use my communication skills to give a voice to causes that truly matter.”

The passions and contributions of the new team members perfectly reflect the collective energy and commitment that Director Marie Sigvardt envisions for Save the Orangutan’s operation.

“Elisabeth, Valentina, and Linnie have already proven their dedication to support Save the Orangutan’s mission during their first months with us,” says Director Marie Sigvardt. “Their contributions have been incredibly positive, and I, along with the rest of the team, am thrilled to have them on board. We look forward to the further collaboration and seeing the amazing impact we can make together.”
